DOLL MAKING CLASS

Make Your Very Own Sweaterdoll!

The original sweaterdoll was a bean-baggy, sits-up-by-itself doll made from a reused acrylic sweater. Perfect for toddlers and young children, it was as easy to make as it was engaging to play with.

You can purchase a kit to make your own sweaterdoll from sweaterdoll.etsy.com.

Here's what you do:

  • Look through the listings.
  • Pick your desired color and fiber content.
  • Choose either repurposed sweater or new minky fleece.
  • Order and pay through Paypal or Bank Transfer (Australia only)
Kits are shipped once a week in plastic-free packaging (you may request a plastic wrap).

Don't see a kit you like? Email or Etsy Convo me to see if I have the color and fiber content you'd like and if I have it, I'll make up a kit for you!

With the kit you receive:
  • precut doll pieces
  • thread for sewing and eyes
  • illustrated instructions
  • dry adzuki beans (if shipped in Australia)
  • wool toy stuffing OPTIONAL
What you provide:
  • scissors
  • sewing needle and a few pins
  • toy stuffing (if you choose to use your own)
  • 3 tablespoons of small dry beans if you live outside Australia

With kits available for purchase, you don't have to attend one of my doll-making classes here in Sydney. But what if you want some help with your kit?

You are cordially invited to attend an online workshop video series where you can see how your precut kit pieces are sewn and assembled to create your own adorable and cuddly sweaterdoll.
There are four videos to the series, each around 10 minutes long. The link to the next part is in the text box below the video. Here are the four links:

I can't wait to see what kit you like best. See you at the movies!
